Travis Kelce and his older brother, Jason Kelce, talk about almost everything on their New Heights podcast. During the most recent episode, the brothers dished about a wide range of topics, including Travis’ less than great start to the new NFL season. However, it was the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s comments about his guilty pleasure TV show that had fans talking. Especially because the show includes one of Taylor Swift‘s best friends.
During the “No Dumb Questions” segment of the podcast, a fan asked Travis Kelce to weigh in on his guilty pleasure TV show. While Jason Kelce admitted that he didn’t watch a lot of TV, although he had been getting into The Traitors, Travis’ answer was much different.

“I used to not tell everybody that I watched Gossip Girl growing up,” Travis admitted. “I don’t care, you can’t judge me, dude. It is what it is,” he added.
“You watched Gossip Girl? You should be embarrassed about that,” Jason teased his little brother.
Travis then went on to defend his TV viewing habits, revealing that Gossip Girl is “so good” and that watching it sucks you “in deep.” Jason admitted that he’d never heard of the series, which starred Taylor Swift’s bestie, Blake Lively.
“It’s awesome. It’s like a New York high school show with a lot of drama, and basically everybody gossiping and talking s–t on each other,” Travis explained.
Some fans found Travis’ confession quite funny, while others considered it a full-circle moment.
“Travis Kelce was a full adult in college when Gossip Girl premiered, so confused that he liked it ‘growing up. LOL,” one person tweeted.
“Imagine being Travis Kelce in the mid 2000s, watching Gossip Girl and crushing on country singer Taylor Swift and then bam, it’s 2023 — You’re dating country singer turned global pop star Taylor Swift who is best friends with Gossip Girl star Blake Lively. What a lucky dude!” another said.
“He has taste,” a third person commented.
While Jason Kelce may not be looking to tune into old episodes of Gossip Girl anytime soon, it looks like Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift will have something to watch on their at-home date nights.
