BLACKPINK‘s Lisa may have just debuted her spiciest song yet at the Global Citizen Festival. The K-pop star was one of several artists who co-headlined this year’s event in New York City. As expected, her setlist included her hit singles like “Rockstar” and “New Woman.” However, it also featured a surprising addition: An unreleased track called “Moonlit Floor.” After hearing the song’s steamy lyrics, fans can’t help but think they’re about Lisa’s rumored boyfriend, Frédéric Arnault.
Are BLACKPINK’s Lisa and Frédéric Arnault Dating?
After teasing “Moonlit Floor” over the past few weeks on TikTok, Lisa finally debuted the song during her 2024 Global Citizen Festival performance. The track interpolates Sixpence None the Richer‘s “Kiss Me,” which was featured in the hit 1999 rom-com She’s All That. While Lisa kept a few of the original lyrics, she mostly made the song her own.
For example, in her version, she references a mysterious “French boy” who is making her go crazy. “Green-eyed French boy got me trippin’/ On that accent off your lips/ How your tongue do all those tricks?” Lisa sings during the pre-chorus.
Although Lisa’s “Moonlit Floor” lyrics didn’t reveal the identity of the French boy, fans think they’re about Frédéric Arnault, the French CEO of LVMH Watches.
Lisa and Frédéric Arnault have been romantically linked since 2022. Neither has ever commented on the dating rumors. However, since they’ve been spotted at several of the same events over the years, fans have become convinced they’re secretly a couple.
Lisa’s “Moonlit Floor” lyrics have only further fueled the speculation. Fans wonder whether this is the star’s way of “hardlaunching” her relationship with the businessman.
“Moonlit Floor” will officially hit streaming platforms next week on Thursday, Oct. 3.
