Tighnari may only be a Forest Ranger in Genshin Impact. However, he is still a powerful fighter who can defeat numerous enemies. His kit focuses on single-target damage, which he inflicts using his charged attacks. This makes him a great DPS character since he also has a great Elemental Burst with a low Burst cost. Tighnari does demand quite a lot of field time, but he is still a great unit, especially if you use this build.
The Best Artifacts for Tighnari in Genshin Impact
If you want to build Tighnari as your main DPS in Genshin Impact, there are three artifact sets you can consider using. Personally, I suggest the Wanderer’s Troupe set since it’s much easier to get and is suitable for many team comps.
Artifact Sets | Details |
---|---|
Wanderer’s Troupe | If you want to focus on Tighnari’s charged attack damage, you can pick Wanderer’s Troupe set. Not only is this artifact easy to get, but it will also boost his Elemental Mastery. This stat will allow him to deal more elemental damage. |
Gilded Dreams | Gilded Dreams is another viable set for Tighnari. This one is centered around elemental reaction damage. The type of buffs you will get depends on your team member’s element. If the other characters have Dendro elements, Tighnari will get ATK buff. On the other hand, allies with different elements will boost his Elemental Mastery. |
Deepwood Memories | This set is great if you want to boost his Dendro DMG. This is the best set if you plan to run a mono Dendro team. However, this is my least favorite set out of these three since triggering elemental reaction typically deals more damage than using mono element. |
The Best Weapons
Since our Forest Ranger is a 5-star unit, he has his own signature weapon. If you don’t have this gear, there are still other alternatives that you can use for this Tighnari build.
Weapons | Details |
---|---|
Hunter’s Path | This is Tighnari’s signature weapon, which boosts the damage caused by his charged attack. You also want to increase your Elemental Mastery if you use this weapon since the buff scales off this stat. |
Aqua Simulacra | This is Yelan’s weapon, but you can still give it to Tighnari. Besides boosting his CRIT DMG, this gear can also increase his damage when enemies are nearby. Since this effect is still active even when he is off-field, this bow is better if you want to make him a sub-DPS. |
The First Great Magic | Lyney‘s weapon is also a good option for Tighnari. This gear also boosts his charged attack damage, but its secondary buff is only active if you have party members with the same Elemental Type. So, you can use this bow if you are using a mono Dendro team. |
The Best Team and Rotation
While you can place Tighnari in various teams, he works best with Electro units. Here are the two team compositions you can try:
Teams | Rotations |
---|---|
Main DPS: Tighnari Sub-DPS: Yae Miko and Nahida Support: Zhongli | 1. Starts with Zhongli and summons his shield and pillar. 2. Switch to Yae and Nahida and use their Elemental Skills. 3. Finally, change to Tighnari and begin raining arrows on your enemies until they are dead. 4. Repeat. |
Main DPS: Tighnari Sub-DPS: Yae Miko and Raiden Shogun Healer: Bennett | 1. Allow Yae, Raiden, and Bennett to use their Elemental Skills. 2. Switch to Tighnari to deal some damage. 3. Keep dealing damage until Bennetts Burst is ready. 4. Use Bennett’s Burst and then Tighnari’s. |
There are other team compositions that you can try. My recommendation is to focus on elemental reactions, especially those involving Dendro and Electro. I always like to add Zhongli when using Tighnari, so I won’t get interrupted when using charged attacks.
