Carrie Underwood is one of the hardest-working women in country music. The singer has millions of fans and is often busy working on music, performing, and cultivating her brands. Of course, she has a very full plate as she’s also the wife of former NHL star Mike Fisher and the mother of two young sons. Now that Underwood is getting ready to start her journey as a judge on American Idol, things are about to get even more hectic.
Life and Style reports that Carrie Underwood has been finding it complicated to balance her work life with her home life. Her career is obviously very important to her. However, she’s missing so much at home when she’s out of town. Unfortunately, the American Idol gig is only going to make things even harder.
Carrie Underwood Finds it Difficult to Balance Career and Family
“Carrie used to give herself a very hard time about being away from her children for work,” an insider dished. “But she’s realized it’s the quality of the time she spends with them that matters most, so when she isn’t working, she is super present.”
“For Carrie, nothing compares to time spent at home with her family, tending to her animals and her garden,” the source continued. “Life at home is simple and happy, so far removed from the glitz and glam of performing, and she does her best to soak up those moments before she’s due back at work. Finding balance can be difficult at times, but at the end of the day, Carrie’s made peace with the fact that she can’t do it all.”
The singer’s feelings about work/life balance is something that many women are dealing with around the globe. However, because her career takes her around the world, her time away from her family is likely even harder to deal with.
“I feel bad for her sons. At least they seem to have a great full time father,” one person commented.
“She’s a workaholic. It seems like she really doesn’t spend much time with her very young children at all. It’s sad,” another comment read.
Carrie Underwood appears to be doing her best amid the difficult situation. Of course, her husband, Mike Fisher, holds it down with the kids at home as his wife focuses on her career.
