Destiny 2 is coming in October for the PC. Activision has planned for the PC version to launch through Blizzard’s Battle.net service upon its release. Today, Bungie has made some more progress in this goal, making it possible for players to log into their Bungie profiles via their Blizzard accounts.

Considering Blizzard is a giant in the PC gaming world, it’s no surprise that Bungie has decided to team up with them. This will make it easier for players to have all their favorite games, like Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Diablo III, Hearthstone, and now Destiny 2, in one place.

Users have already been able to access their Bungie.net accounts through their PlayStation Network IDs and Xbox Live Gamertags. This, like connecting your Bungie account with Blizzard, helps make things easier when looking for stats, joining clans, or keeping track of everything else Destiny related.

All playthroughs made on any platform (PS4, Xbox One, PC) will be available in one place, that way players can see all of the information they desire in a much more convenient fashion. Now being connected with Blizzard, Bungie.net accounts will have access to this information while signed in to their Battle.net account.

The upcoming sequel will reset characters, meaning your progress from the first installment won’t carry over into the second. You’ll be able to keep the characters you’ve spent so much time playing with, but any progress associated with that character will be deleted.

The sequel is also rumored to feature a much more in-depth story than its predecessor, so that is an aspect of the game to definitely be excited about. A beta will be coming from July 21-23 for consoles (preload begins tomorrow for Xbox One and PS4) and in late August for PC.

Destiny 2 will launch on September 6 for PS4 and Xbox One and October 24 for the PC. Check out Bungie’s site for more information on how to link up your accounts and stay tuned for more news on the game we get closer and closer to its release date!
