Making instant headlines for her style at the 2024 MTV VMAs, the 39-year-old showed off her slimmed-down silhouette in a shredded two-piece dress and a plunging ruched one, and she was in for a tough crowd as The Daily Mail published the photos.
Displaying her toned figure as she attended the event with fiance Orlando Bloom, Katy was picked apart in virtually every way. While some bashed the pop singer for her flopped music comeback, others said that actor Orlando appeared disinterested in her. Many, however, focused on her fashion, seemingly thinking that she was showing too much skin. The leading reply to the newspaper’s report came from an angry fan asking if it was really necessary for her to wear “hardly any clothing.”

Displaying her taut abs and tiny waist in a shredded cream bralette and long skirt, Katy made arrivals headlines for looking slimmer than ever as fans continue to speculate she’s been using weight loss drug Ozempic.
Looking a little oiled-up as she rocked wet-effect hair, Katy left little to the imagination in her first outfit, then going eye-popping in a slinky silver dress with ribbed fabrics. Braving a plunging neckline, the “Lifetimes” hitmaker flashed her curves in a gown with choker neck fabrics and knotted accents, also posing with her two awards.
Despite making the news for being mass-slammed over her “Woman’s World” single in July, Katy still walked away with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award and the Most Iconic Performance one.

Targeting Katy’s fashion choice and her weight in one comment, one fan gained over 240 upvotes for saying: “Why is she always going about half [unclothed]? At 20 ok but not 40. Since she too Ozempic and lost loads of weight she has gone mad with wearing hardly any clothes.”
While one fan called her dress “awful,” but didn’t specify which one, another wrote: “All I see now when I look at her is pure desperation!”
Not a fan of the wet-haired finish, a further user replied: “She looks like she just got out of the shower and had a fight with a toilet.”
Kate may have been trashed for her style, but the big brands don’t seem to care. Earlier this month, the songstress was likely paid a handsome fee to show off her Balenciaga outfit on Instagram ahead of her appearance at the designer’s Paris Fashion Week Show.
