Things aren’t looking good for The Real Housewives of Orange County’s marquee players. Not only has Tamra Judge been feuding with Shannon Beador, but now, she has to hear it from Vicki Gunvalson.
The pair have been on-again-off-again besties for several years now. As many Bravo fans know, when they’re up, they’re up. However, when they’re down, they’re down bad.
Vicki and Tamra’s latest quarrel began some weeks ago after they began taking shots at each other online following a misunderstanding. However, now, things have gotten worse. In a recent Instagram comment, Vicki went in on Tamra after the latter claimed she was “on the spectrum.” So, what did the OG of the OC have to say?
Vicki Calls Tamra Out for ‘Looking for Sympathy’ Following RHOC Backlash
In case you missed it, Tamra recently shared an emotional clip from her podcast, Two Ts In A Pod, on Instagram. During the clip, she told her co-host, Teddi Mellencamp, that after a therapy appointment, she learned she was “on the spectrum.” She continued, saying the reason she lacks “empathy” is because of her past and her “trauma.”
Although Teddi felt for her, Real Housewives fans quickly called her out, with one watcher slamming Tamra for being a “narcissist.” But they aren’t the only ones with something to say.
Vicki replied to the noise as well, and her message to her former partner in crime was not pretty. “This is disgusting, and shame on her,” she began. The reality star went on, saying Tamra was “looking for sympathy” following the backlash she’s received for her problematic behavior during Season 18 of RHOC.
“It’s no different than Brooks saying he had cancer for sympathy and lying to me. She needs psychological help and needs to stop making a mockery of being ‘on the spectrum’ or having Autism.”
And if that wasn’t enough, Vicki added a few hashtags to make her message clear. “#FakeTears, #GetHelp,” she wrote. So, what did Tamra have to say about all of this?
Tamra Clarifies Her Earlier Comments About Being ‘On the Spectrum’
After Tamra’s post began making its rounds, she made another post to offer clarity. In her lengthy caption, Tamra said her therapist told her that some of her behaviors, including her “social anxiety,” were “all signs of being on the spectrum.”
“Now, ‘On the spectrum’ [is] such a broad term. I don’t really understand it fully, and my therapist told me more evaluation was needed,” she continued. “But when I sat down at the mic to record my podcast … my head was spinning. I had no time to process things or even talk to my family — I was just back at work. And I was so emotional I just blurted it out.”
The Bravo vet explained that she’s continuing to work on herself. She also mentioned she’s processing her “past trauma,” which she described as “deep and painful.” Consequently, Tamra told her followers that it’s “best to move forward more privately until I get to a better mental space.”
“My mental health is just not strong enough where I can be judged and hated on right now. Yes, I’m admitting I’m weak. And I’m okay with that.”
Season 18 of RHOC is approaching its end, so it’s unclear when we’ll hear from Tamra again. But based on fan reaction, if she’s back for Season 19, she’ll be facing a lot of heat from all sides.
