LeBron James is one of the best players ever to play the game of basketball. To get the honor of being coached by such an influential player is nothing short of amazing. However, what if that player was your own father? Bronny James has been struggling since the Los Angeles Lakers drafted him. Although many believe he is not NBA-ready, LeBron certainly does. Bron can be seen giving the rookie what seems to be some sound advice as the Lakers took on the Suns. “This is bigger than basketball.”
TMZ reports that Bronny James played 17 minutes in the Lakers’ overtime win over the Phoenix Suns. LeBron James, who didn’t suit up for the game, was seen talking up the 20-year-old guard. It is unclear what LBJ said to Bronny, but the rookie ended up with only four points, and two rebounds. Another sub-par performance from Bronny has led some fans to believe that he is the “worst player ever drafted.”
Fans React to Lebron James Coaching His Son Bronny James
Those same fans then flooded Twitter to speak their minds about the Bronny situation in LA.
“This is bigger than basketball. Bronny still got chores at home,” one joked.
“All this for the cameras, just for him to go out and drop another -25 plus-minus. I’m telling y’all, Bronny is the worst player drafted in NBA history,” wrote another.
Another fan said, “Father-son duo about to take over the league.“
Finally, one fan wrote, “As father and teacher. Lebron is a great dad.“
While it seems as though fans are happy about Bron trying to teach his son, others are fed up with Bronny’s poor play.
It has always been well-known that LeBron James wanted to play alongside his son. However, with Bronny James seemingly not being NBA-ready, how will this affect the Lakers’ season? How many games will Bronny play, and how will he contribute to the team? For now, only time will tell.
