Brittany Cartwright is offering clarity around her reunion with Jax Taylor after being seen on his Instagram Stories.
During her podcast, When Reality Hits, Brittany explained why she was hanging with Jax at a pumpkin patch. “Let me explain what this was,” she began the segment. “This was my son’s first all-school field trip. So the entire school was there.” She continued, saying her Vanderpump Rules co-star, Scheana Shay, was there with her daughter, too. “The entire school was invited,” she said.
“So, if you saw [my Instagram], I just posted Cruz and a picture of me and him together because it was so cute. … but Jax just posted me.” According to Brittany, Jax wants to please the fans despite their ongoing drama. As she continued, the reality star explained that she’s trying to “co-parent” as best as she can with Jax. “Like, he begged me to go to the field trip. I’m like, ‘OK, fine, like of course if this is for Cruz, I’m all for that.” But things got messy after the post confused people online.
Brittany Doesn’t Want People To Think ‘Everything Is Fine’ With Jax
If you’ve been following Jax and Brittany’s divorce drama, you’ll understand why their reunion surprised people. “I just want people to realize [that] I see that,” Brittany said. “I just feel like it sucks that I even have to defend that because I don’t want people to think that I’m not being genuine.”
She went on to say she doesn’t want people to think “everything’s fine” between her and Jax, especially after calling him a “terrible husband” during an earlier interview.
Later, the Valley star revealed she had no idea Taylor even “posted me.” Apparently, the reality star “found out this stuff later.” However, because she’s supporting her son, Cruz, being civil with Jax is her “top thing.”
Despite that, though, she wants to make sure her fans know she’s as real as they come.
“But I never want anybody to think I’m being fake or that I’m lying about something,” she continued. “That is not what was happening here. I was literally playing with my son at the pumpkin patch that his whole school was at.”
By the end of the episode, Brittany added that she hoped she and Taylor “can be friends.” However, “it’s just not right now.”
