Jason Kelce finally addressed the sleeping situation which has gone viral on the latest episodes of their podcast. Jason was spotted catching a nap as Swift performed at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
On Wednesday’s episode of the “New Heights” podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end asked Jason, “You took a nap at the Eras Tour. What is that all about?” Jason quickly replied, “Travis, you know I didn’t take a nap. I did not take a nap.” The retired Eagles player’s response did not convince Travis, who added:
“It’s the greatest show that’s ever been onstage, and you’re over here falling asleep?”
Jason, unwilling to let the wrong narrative fly, explained that shutting his eyes was an intentional move. The father-of-three admitted feeling in a fishbowl with everyone staring at him. After dancing with his daughter, Elliot, He decided to sit and enjoy the music. In his words:
“I’m, like, tapping my thigh, I’m just, like, in the moment listening to the song, and then all of a sudden I go on Twitter and I see this f**king picture.”
The picture was posted on X by former NFL star Beau Allen, who joined him in the VIP box. Jason accused Allen of betraying him and said, “My hand is hovering. You can’t sleep with your hand hovering above your knee.”

“Sometimes I feel like everyone is a sexy baby and I’m a monster on a hill,” Allen wrote in the caption. The “New Heights” podcast official X page replied, “Caught in 4K.” Another user wrote with laughing emojis, “Them Kelce boys really can sleep anywhere,”
An unimpressed fan commented, “Who the hell could fall asleep at a Taylor Swift concert with everyone screaming and singing??? Seriously Jason forgot he promised each of his daughters a new kitten… (That will teach him something for falling asleep.)”
However, another X user rose to Jason’s defense in the comments by recalling a similar experience, “Yall complaining about him sitting there with his eyes closed. I did the same thing at a Kehlani concert recently and it was chill. It was relaxing and a great way to enjoy a concert.” This user might just be Jason’s burner, as his reply matched the athlete’s explanation:
“Wow he can actually sleep and tap his hands-on his knees… You notice how his hands and fingers seem blurry because he’s moving them… he’s clearly listening to the music with his eyes closed.”
