Iphigames has unveiled a chilling new gameplay trailer for its upcoming first-person survival horror title, Haunted Bloodlines. The trailer showcases the game’s psychological terror, offering players a peek into the eerie, decaying mansion where much of the action takes place.

Set to release on PC via Steam, Haunted Bloodlines is designed to push players to the brink of sanity, both through its gameplay and its unsettling atmosphere. A Haunted Bloodlines on Steam, so you can check out the action just in time for Halloween.

In Haunted Bloodlines, players are trapped in a mansion full of dark family secrets, where survival hinges on outwitting enemies rather than fighting them. With no weapons available, running and hiding are the only options as players grapple with their diminishing sanity. “We wanted to create something that crawls under your skin,” said Giannis Soukoulis, lead developer from Horrified Triangles, the team behind the game. “When players sit down to play Haunted Bloodlines, they are not just surviving the mansion, but their own inner demons.”

One of the game’s standout features is its emphasis on sanity. As players navigate the mansion’s shadowy halls, their grasp on reality weakens with every encounter, creating a blend of psychological horror and survival mechanics. Alongside this, the game incorporates a shifting timeline mechanic that distorts the player’s perception of the present and past, adding further layers to the mystery of the protagonist’s cursed family history.

Soukoulis also emphasizes the importance of the atmosphere and psychological elements, adding, “Every scare, every moment of silence is crafted to make you question yourself as much as the game around you.”

While the game looks poised to satisfy fans of the survival horror genre, Iphigames is clearly focusing on a measured build-up of tension and psychological impact rather than the typical action-heavy gameplay. Not that we have to wait to find out, mind you: players who enjoy mind-bending horror experiences can check out the Haunted Bloodlines demo as part of the spooky season festivities.
