Amanda Bynes has sparked pity and well-wishes as rare photos of her out and about go viral. The former Nickelodeon star was photographed walking around the streets of L.A. yesterday, looking trendy and sporty in a leggings look as fans continue to note her past breakdowns and run-ins with the law.
Amanda, 38, kept casual in edgy Doc Marten boots as she sported blonde hair, but talk in The Daily Mail‘s comments section wasn’t about her outfit. Fans continue to worry for the former actress’ mental health — she has diagnoses of both bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. While some fired back at the paparazzi for chasing Amanda around, others merely remarked that she didn’t look “well.” There is good news, though, with October seeing Amanda making headlines as she gears up for a fashion collab with Austin Babbitt.
Amanda Bynes Spotted Solo On L.A. Streets
Showing off her curvy figure in a clingy pair of pale gray leggings, Amanda gave a nod to the athleisurewear trend, adding gothic accents from her ankle-rise black boots and septum ring.
Keeping her look basic, the Easy A star flashed hints of her shapely waist, wearing a black backpack and her light locks down and with a damp effect. Rocking warming makeup and cheek blush as she sported a defined brow, Amanda turned heads with her ultra-long manicure, going Khloe Kardashian-style with her nails for some glam. She was spotted carrying a small black bag, possibly containing some purchases.
Fans seemed more worried than anything else. Amanda, who took a brief retirement from acting in 2010, began to make headlines for her troublesome personal life in 2012, when she pleaded not guilty to a DUI. One year later, she was arrested for throwing a bong out of an NYC apartment window. 2013 marked the star’s first psychiatric hold. While Amanda seems more stable following multiple rehab stints, fans are clearly still worried.
Fans Saying She’s Clearly ‘Not Well’
“Please stop. She’s going on with her life, she’s taking her meds. She’s doing good considering,” one user said.
“Leave her alone she is obviously not well,” another wrote, with a third noting the recent passing of former One Direction singer Liam Payne. Here, the fan replied:
“It’s hard seeing this article next to one about Liam Payne, who was also struggling with his mental health and other issues. Leave her alone, the press don’t help these situations!”
Amanda’s troubles have long been documented. The ’90s TV star has suffered mental breakdowns and been under psychiatric hold. Much like 42-year-old singer Britney Spears, she was placed under a conservatorship, which controlled her life for nine years, ending in 2022.
Sending Amanda love, another user replied: “She’s been through a lot. I hope she is alright or on the way to recovery.”
Amanda is active on Instagram where she is followed by just over 500,000. Her feed, last updated in August, only has two posts.
