Rehab is doing wonders for Pete Davidson; at least, that is what fans think. The comedian was seen in public for the first time since checking himself into a mental health treatment facility in the summer. The Saturday Night Live alum looked remarkably different, rocking a cleaner look.
Davidson stepped out with his best pal, Machine Gun Kelly for the preview of The Room at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. The Bodies Bodies Bodies star rocked a red shirt with the FDNY logo paired with dark green cargo pants. Per Page Six, the fire department t-shirt is reportedly a tribute to Davidson’s late dad, who was a firefighter. He died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks when the comedian was just seven years old. The 30-year-old seemed in great spirits at the event, posing next to MGK with a smile on his face.
Fans wasted no time noticing that Davidson’s usual heavily inked arm looked less crowded. Known for his love for tattoos, the Staten Island native seemed in the middle of a removal process, as only the faded inks remained.
Pete Davidson’s New Look Approved As ‘Healthy’
Fans online loved Pete Davidson’s new appearance and took to Reddit to discuss the change. “Dare I say he looks healthy here,” wrote one fan, to which another replied, “I was going to say — healthiest he’s looked in a long time.”
A third comment read, “Pete’s looking the best he has in years! … And MGK is looking healthier too. Good for them! Love to see it.”
A fourth fan penned, “It’s good to see him looking healthy, happy and at peace. I really hope he keeps it up.”
The rare appearance comes months after the Bupkis actor checked himself into rehab. A source revealed at the time that Davidson was “taking some time to focus on his health” after performing more than 200 live stand-up comedy shows. The time away clearly paid off for the comedian.
