Beyoncé‘s appearance at Kamala Harris’ rally on Friday turned chaotic after the Democrats failed to deliver on a supposed promise. Rumors of an imminent Beyoncé performance on Friday during the anticipated appearance at Kamala’s rally in Houston Texas swirled online in the days leading up to the rally. Several excited fans trooped into the city’s Shell Energy Stadium in their numbers excited to catch a “free concert” in the guise of a presidential rally. However, these fans were met with the disappointment of a lifetime and did not hold back when showing their fury.
Notably, the Single Ladies crooner did appear at the democrat rally as promised on Friday in her native town of Houston, Texas, accompanied by fellow Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland. However, rather than her expected performance, Beyoncé only addressed the crowd at the packed rally, even urging Americans to “sing a new song.” After making it clear she graced the rally as a mother and not a celebrity, and endorsing Kamala Harris in her speech, she left the stage gracefully to the disappointment of fans.

Disappointed rally attendees trooped out of the venue after the disappointing appearance per Daily Mail. Many have since taken to social media to voice their disappointment at the Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris for employing a “Bait and Switch” crowd-pulling tactic. They also directed fury at the crooner for seemingly taking part in the shrewd game by dancing to the Democrat’s tune without setting the record straight beforehand. One disappointed rallygoer ranted,
“Bait and Switch crowd building. Promise a performance to bring people in and they went streaming to the exits when Beyoncé left the stage.”
Another wrote,
“She can’t even deliver on promises to her own followers with a Beyoncé Performance, but yes she will totally close the border and stuff. Kamala Harris is a mess.”
Another fan wrote,

A video from the Rally shared on Tiktok showed rally attendees booing after Beyoncé’s exit while Kamala Harris fixed on a smile seemingly oblivious to the disappointment in the room. The caption of the video read,
“Embarrassing and awkward!!! Kamala didn’t know what to do as crowd booed and got rowdy after Beyoncé read the script off the teleprompter for 4 minutes and left without performing. What a disaster!”
Beyoncé famously performed during her appearance at a Hillary Clinton presidential rally in 2016. This precedence, coupled with the democrats’ promise of her expected appearance fueled the rumors that she would delight rallygoers with a song performance. Enthusiastic fans were convinced Beyoncé would sing the track Freedom from her 2016 album Lemonade, which Kamala Harris has adopted throughout her presidential campaign. Rather than a “free Beyoncé concert” though, fans enjoyed a performance from Willie Nelson. Although his appearance did deliver on the promise of a celebrity performance, many viewed it as a failed disaster control effort.
