Growing up as the only daughter of the iconic King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, was challenging for Lisa Marie. For decades, she led a fairly low-key lifestyle, preferring to keep to herself. Before she died in 2023, Lisa Marie Presley began compiling her memories to write her tell-all memoir book From Here to the Great Unknown.
While working on the memoir, Lisa reportedly hit a wall and called on her daughter Daisy Jones & The Six star Riley Keough to help her write her story. However, before the book was finished, Lisa Marie Presley died unexpectedly, leaving Riley to honor her mother’s wishes and finish the book.
The highly anticipated book hit stores in October. Since then, her fans have learned many new and shocking details about her life. She and Riley did not hold back when telling her story. They revealed every raw and painful detail of Lisa’s life. This has reportedly caused a great deal of trauma for Lisa’s mother Priscilla Presley.

Presley informants tell Radar Online that Priscilla is upset by Lisa Marie’s book. They say Priscilla Presley was not expecting it to touch on some of the raw and personal subjects it did, and she feels ‘blindsided’ and somewhat personally attacked.
Lisa Marie details her true feelings following her father, Elvis Presley’s death in 1977. She writes that her “life as she knew it was completely over soon after Elvis died.” Adding that she was now “stuck with her,” meaning Priscilla, 79.
This is all very painful for Priscilla, who says she believed that they were in a “good place” at the time of Lisa Marie’s passing. But that wasn’t the case. Lisa Marie Presley reveals a lot of pent-up and painful feelings, as well as years of resentment for her mother.
She even claims to have been molested by her mother’s boyfriend at the age of 10. “God knows Priscilla and Lisa Marie had their ups and downs. So reliving some of this stuff is torturous for her,” said the insider.
According to the Presley source, Priscilla is heartbroken and shocked by Lisa Marie’s portrayal of her depicted in the memoir. “If she had her time again, she’d do a lot differently. But she is devastated and blindsided at the revelations that Lisa Marie preferred drugs and booze to the company of her mother,” the source adds.

Sadly, it is all too little too late for Priscilla Presley now that Lisa Marie Presley is gone. However, many of Lisa’s fans believe this is her way of seeking revenge on her mother.
Some even feel this is Riley Keough’s way of honoring her mother’s wishes and getting back at her grandmother. Following Lisa’s passing, Priscilla Presley contested her late daughter’s will, causing a huge family drama. The family settled the dispute without releasing the details publicly.
Riley soon stepped in to finish her mother’s memoir. However, some Lisa Marie Presley fans couldn’t help but believe she made the story strike a nerve with Priscilla, not only for her mom but also for herself.
