According to Athlon Sports, LeBron James took to Instagram on Wednesday afternoon to deliver some hope to not just his daughter but women all over the United States of America. It is no secret that LBJ has never been a fan of Donald Trump. He even declined the invitation to the White House after the Lakers won the NBA Finals back in 2020. James wants to remind his daughter that “We don’t need their help.”
“HEAVY ON MY HEART & MIND THIS AM MY PRINCESS! PROMISE TO PROTECT YOU WITH EVERYTHING I HAVE AND MORE!! WE DON’T NEED THEIR HELP!” he said in an Instagram post this afternoon.

Fox News reports that Angel Reese was also another basketball player who endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 Presidential Election. Reese was having a stellar rookie year in the WNBA until an unfortunate injury left her sidelined for a significant amount of time. The Chicago Sky forward wrote on social media that she was “speechless” and “disappointed” in the U.S. voters. She also shared those opinions with Phoenix Mercury star Natasha Cloud.
Donald Trump secured two extremely important swing states, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, which helped him rocket ahead into the presidency. Trump also locked down Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and many more as they pushed him over the 270 electoral votes. As for LeBron James, fans waged the usual political war in his comment section after his message to his daughter. Many seem to believe that James’ status as a billionaire allows him not to worry about a lot of things.
The feud between Trump and LeBron goes back a few years now. Both sides have expressed their dislike for the other on many occasions, from Trump’s usual trash talk to LeBron and his Lakers blowing off the visit to the White House.
However, Lebron James has every right to be worried about his daughter. Just like every parent has the right to be concerned about their child. James is just a father looking out for the safety and rights of his daughter. On the other hand, Donald Trump won the election again and will have four more years in office.
