Brad Pitt has been through a tough time since splitting from Angelina Jolie back in 2016. The actor not only ended his marriage to his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star, but he also reportedly lost his relationships with many of his children. Brad and Angelina share six children together. Three adopted kids, Pax, Maddox, and Zahara, and three biological children, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne. Since their split, Pitt’s relationships with his kids have reportedly taken a nosedive. Many of them have even dropped his last name.
According to the November 25 edition of Star Magazine, Brad Pitt isn’t giving up hope for a reunion with his kids. He’s allegedly been shopping in hopes of buying each of the children the perfect Christmas gifts. Now, all he needs is to convince them to spend some time with their father during the holiday season.
Pitt is said to be holding out hope that he’ll be able to have some quality time with the kids during the holidays. After his bitter divorce and custody battle with Angelina Jolie, things have been strained in the Jolie-Pitt family. Shiloh, Zahara, and Pax have all stopped using the last name Pitt. Meanwhile, the youngest siblings, twins Knox and Vivienne, 16, are still minors and part of the custody war.
Brad Pitt Hoping For Family Christmas With His Estranged Kids
Brad is said to be keeping his fingers crossed that some or all of the kids will come to his house for a big family dinner and to open the presents he’s been “stockpiling” for them. He’s allegedly especially focused on repairing his relationship with his daughter, Shiloh. She’s allegedly giving him reason to hope that they’ll be able to reunite. However, it’s unclear if she’s ready to allow her father back into her life at this point.
“He’s stockpiling gifts for all of his children,” an insider reveals. “He’s really taking time to get the perfect gift for each one. In a perfect world, they’d all come over for a big dinner and open presents. Brad always gets wistful. He has high hopes and then they’re dashed.”
Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie has proven that she continues to have strong bonds with the kids. She’s often seen spending time with her brood both in casual outings and at Hollywood events. Most recently, she showed up to the Governors Awards with her youngest son, Knox, on her arm. The teenager wowed fans with how much he looks like Brad Pitt in his younger years, per New York Post.
It’s unclear if Brad Pitt will ever be able to mend the rocky relationships he has with his six children. However, it seems that he’s willing to do whatever it takes to try. Maybe as the children grow older they’ll be more willing to open up to their famous dad yet again.
