Instead of looking put together and ready for the day, she seemed frazzled and rush as she stepped out with an undone appearance on what would have been her 18th wedding anniversary with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
According to The Daily Mail, Katie Holmes was photographed in New York City as she walked the streets and talked on her cell phone. Her long, dark hair was wet and fell down her back and over her shoulders in soaked strands. She wore a no makeup look, which included bare lips. Her outfit also raised eyebrows.
Holmes was seen sporting a gray shirt with a blue pinstriped button-up over the top. She also wore a dark green satin skirt that fell just before her knees. She accessorized the ensemble with a ring on her finger, dark blue slippers, and dark nail polish. Katie also carried a tan purse and a white tote bag.

The actress’ disheveled look comes just weeks after she dropped off her only child, daughter Suri Cruise, at college. The mother and daughter appear to have a tight bond, especially since her father Tom Cruise reportedly hasn’t seen her in the last decade. Holmes is now an empty-nester.
Of course, fans had a lot of thoughts on Holmes’ wardrobe for the day.
“For some reason the worse she dresses the more interested in seeing her we are. She makes frowzy and frumpy fascinating,” one person commented on Katie’s wardrobe.

In addition to whatever feelings Katie may be having about Suri leaving her home, the outing came on what would have been her wedding anniversary to Tom. Although the couple split in 2012 after six years of marriage, their divorce has been a subject of interest to fans.
Holmes and Cruise seemingly have no interaction with one another. However, the Top Gun star does reportedly still pay for Suri’s college tuition. Earlier this year, his child support obligation was ended when their daughter reached the age of 18. However, he still has legal responsibilities that were seemingly set up during the couple’s divorce.
“Tom is indeed paying for Suri’s tuition – he has always paid for her schooling and would never stop as he is a stand-up guy,” a source previously told the outlet. “He has never hesitated paying his daughter’s child support and expenses. He does not go back on his word. He is fulfilling his obligation.”
Katie Holmes may not be looking back on her marriage with Tom Cruise. However, it seems that she’s keeping herself so busy with her work obligations, such as her part in a stage production of Our Town, that she barely has any time to do her hair and makeup.
