At the start of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, you will need to sneak into the zone to complete your mission. Unfortunately, things are not going well since your partner is dead, and you now need to complete the rest of your quest yourself. Before you can head off and use the scanner in STALKER 2, you must find the Artifact in the Anomalous Field. Although the process is quite simple, some players may be hesitant to step into the glowing field of radiation. While the game doesn’t make it clear, there’s a way to safely extract the Artifact.
Where To Get the Artifact in the Anomalous Field in STALKER 2
Like many phenomena in the STALKER 2 zone, the Artifact in the Anomalous Field won’t show up instantly. Before you step into this dangerous area, you should equip the Detector that you have in your inventory. You will need to access the radial menu and then select the device so Skiff can hold it in his left hand.
Once you have it out, you can slowly make your way into the glowing field. Be careful not to step inside the bright yellow puddles since they are pretty dangerous. What you want to do is to carefully make your way around the area while you listen to the Detector’s beeping noises.
When you are near the puddle that contains the Artifact, it will beep very fast, and the Artifact will spawn nearby a second later. Note that if you want to go on an Artifact hunt later, you will need to throw a bolt into the Anomaly to summon this magical object.
Once you have obtained the item, you need to equip it. Open your bag and then hover over the Artifact. You can either drag the item directly to its proper spot or use the options menu to put it there. This magical object will give you weak protection against radiation and blunt force attacks.
