Vanderpump Rules stars Ariana Madix, Lala Kent and more react to the end of their stint on the show as Bravo announces a new cast line-up for season 12. On Tuesday, Bravo shocked viewers with the announcement of VPR’s return to the screens with a brand-new cast, completely replacing the OGs fans have come to love over eleven seasons. In the announcement, the show revealed that the OGs would be switched up for a new group of close-knit SUR-vers,” whose identities remain at large. Executive producer Alex Baskin celebrated this new era in a statement, admitting he was thrilled to build on the legacy of the long-running series “by doing it all over again.”

While the axed cast members of the reality TV show do not have the luxury of “doing it all over again,” they made their exit felt across the Vanderpump Rules fandom with tearjerking farewell notes. Lisa Vanderpump released a statement on social media celebrating the past 12 years on the show while appreciating fans, and costars for the wonderful experience. She wrote,

“The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between. I can’t thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all,” she continued. “In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of ‘Vanderpump Rules.”

Going further, Ariana thanked everyone who contributed to making her VPR stint successful, including Evolution USA and Bravo TV for giving her the chance, and costar/restauranteur Lisa Vanderpump who has become part of her life in the last 10+ years. She added,

“I’m feeling at peace with closing this chapter and I’m excited for everything that is to come. I don’t know that these were the best days of our lives, but they were definitely something special.”

Lala Kent Calls Being a SUR Hostess One of Her Most Intimidating Jobs

Vanderpump Rules OG Lala Kent, who joined the show in Season 4 as an SUR hostess took to social media to bid farewell to her cast members, fans, and the VPR experience. In her farewell speech, the 34-year-old shared her experience on the show, right from her first time stepping into Los Angeles as a young girl from Salt Lake City, in pursuit of stardom. Lala, who coined her screen monicker from her real name Lauren as a nod to her childhood nickname recalled landing a job as a hostess at SUR, a place that soon became home for her. While the job remains one of the most intimidating for her to date, it paved the way for her to join the cast of the Vanderpump Rules reality show. She recounted,

“A short time later, the opportunity to be on a show called d Vanderpump Rules landed in front of me. I have such mixed feelings right now. It’s no secret I do not like change. This is the exception.”

Lala Kent thanked viewers for joining her and her costars on their VPR journey, which ultimately changed her whole life.

Katie Moloney Won’t Change A Thing About Her Time on Pump Rules

Katie Moloney also shared her feelings about leaving the show after an 11-year stint via Instagram stories. The 37-year-old joined the Vanderpump Rules cast line-up in 2013 and referred to her stint as a “mixed bag.” Yet, she admittedly would not change a thing about it, as she thanked fans and costars for the memories created in the last eleven years. Katie’s brother Joey Maloney, who made a few appearances on the show shared a post on Instastory commending his sister’s run on the show, humorously adding,

“After 11 seasons, I will not return as a #backgoundbrother on #pumprules. I learned things, ate sandwiches, and added great style to every scene I was a blur in. It was a good run.”

Since the announcement of the season 12 cast shake-up, Vanderpump Rules fans have flooded social media platforms with mixed reactions. Many expressed shock and disbelief, admitting the OGs would be missed. Some fans have threatened to boycott season 12 if Bravo indeed follows through with the new cast lineup and axe the original cast for real while others believe a cast shakeup was long overdue.
