Donald Trump and Elon Musk are catching the heat for not backing up their words with their actions. The new political buddies were recently spotted hanging out with Caitlyn Jenner, sparking backlash from the LGBTQ+ community.
As seen in a viral photo, Donald, Musk, and Jenner posed for a photo alongside the president-elect’s granddaughter, Kai Trump. The foursome posed outdoors at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence with huge smiles on their faces. Unfortunately, the happy faces only infuriated fans online. Critics slammed the Republican and the tech mogul for being friendly with Jenner, a trans woman, despite pushing anti-trans rhetoric during the presidential campaign. It is no news that opposition to transgender rights was a core part of Trump’s messages.
Recall that during his last campaign stop at Madison Square Garden, the convicted felon vowed, “We will get … transgender insanity the hell out of our schools, and we will keep men out of women’s sports.” Per The Independent, an ad that aired over 15,000 times read, “Kamala is for they/them. President Trump is for you.” Hence, many couldn’t understand why Jenner was welcomed with open arms. One fan slammed:

Some fans particularly criticized Elon Musk, who has a strained relationship with his transgender daughter, Vivian Wilson. “Isn’t Elmo the very same hater who called his own trans child ‘dead” to him?‘” one user wondered. Another similar remark read:
“So Elon can put his arm around Caitlyn Jenner, but he’s rejected his own daughter for being transgender? Please make it make sense.”
Some Internet users questioned if Jenner shared a bathroom with Musk and Donald, trying to highlight the advocacy for restricting bathroom access for trans women in the MAGA movement. However, the KUWTK alum responded, “We do not,” indicating that Trump gives bathroom access to trans women at Mar-a-Lago.
The former decathlete, born Bruce Jenner, has also faced backlash for being pro-Trump, with many labeling it a betrayal of the LGBTQ+ community. Following Trump’s victory on November 5, Jenner tweeted, “Hope is back in America. These two men will single-handedly save Western civilization.”
Charlamagne Tha God of The Breakfast Club was one of the loud critics who didn’t appreciate her post. During a segment of his show, Charlamagne roasted Jenner for voting for her personal interest at the expense of her identity. While misgendering the former athlete, the host suggested that Jenner was only sucking up to Musk and Trump for personal favors. “Sounds to me like Caitlin wants his next gender reassignment surgery sponsored by SpaceX. He wants his testicles replaced for Teslas,” Charlamagne slammed.
Jenner, however, remains unfazed by the backlash proudly letting her MAGA flag fly high.
