Justin Timberlake just shared some sad news regarding his Forget Tomorrow world tour. On Saturday, Nov. 30, the “Man of the Woods” singer announced on his Instagram Story that he’s been forced to cancel his next concert. Timberlake was set to perform at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City on Monday night. However, after suffering from a back injury, he’s been advised to not do the show anymore. Although he tried hard to make things work, he realized he had no option but to sit things out this time around.
Justin Timberlake’s Oklahoma City Concert Canceled Just Days Before Show
“I’m so sorry Oklahoma City,” the pop star began his message. “I have to cancel the show on 12/2. I hurt my back in NOLA and my doctors have instructed me to rest a little bit longer.”
Justin Timberlake’s last concert was in New Orleans earlier this week. He had a show at the Smoothie King Center on Monday, Nov. 25. After suffering a back injury in the Louisiana city, it appears Timberlake immediately went on hiatus. He may have hoped to get better by the time his concert in Oklahoma City rolled around on Dec 2. However, since things didn’t go as planned, he was forced to make the difficult decision and cancel the show.
Timberlake told fans on Instagram that he had really wanted to do the concert since he didn’t want to disappoint anybody. Unfortunately, in the end, he had no choice but to follow his doctor’s orders and get more rest. The concert cancellation has hit him hard. “Y’all know I hate doing this,” he said. Timberlake ended his message by thanking fans for their support.
What’s Going On With the ‘Forget Tomorrow’ World Tour?
Justin Timberlake’s Oklahoma City concert is the second show he’s had to cancel on his Forget Tomorrow world tour. Earlier this year, the singer was scheduled to perform at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina, on June 8. However, just weeks before it was set to kick off, fans who had bought tickets to the concert received emails that it had been canceled. Timberlake didn’t reveal why.
While Timberlake had thankfully announced the canceled Columbia concert a month before the show took place, he didn’t do the same for his show in Newark, New Jersey. According to the New York Post, he only told fans about the cancellation an hour before he was set to take the stage on Oct. 8. Luckily, he was able to reschedule the concert for Oct. 15, so it ended up being just postponed rather than completely canceled.
Hopefully, Justin Timberlake will be able to do the same for his fans in Oklahoma City.
