Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner don’t let divorce dictate their family life. The former couple has remained very close in the years since their split. They’re often seen spending time together as friends and co-parents. The actors, who share three children together, Violet, Fin, and Samuel, continued their tradition of spending Thanksgiving together. Affleck reportedly joined his ex-wife and their kids for a big holiday dinner as he continues to navigate his split from his second wife, Jennifer Lopez.
According to People Magzine, Ben Affleck celebrated the Thanksgiving holiday with Jennifer Garner and their children. The actress reportedly made dinner for her family as it was a time to celebrate for Affleck and Garner. They welcomed their oldest daughter, Violet, home from college. Meanwhile, the pair’s children were said to be over the moon about having both of their parents with them for the holiday.
โThey celebrated Thanksgiving as a family,โ an insider dished. โThe kids love having everyone together. Jen hosted dinner at her house.โ

Meanwhile, Ben and Jen didn’t just spend the day eating delicious food. They also gave back to the community. The exes and their three children all volunteered at a Los Angeles homeless shelter as they served up food to the less fortunate. The duo were seen smiling next to one another as they volunteered their time to The Midnight Mission’s annual Thanksgiving street fair.
โThey truly enjoy giving back to their community and cherishing quality time together as a family,โ another source revealed.
There was talk that Affleck may opt to spend Thanksgiving with Lopez. The two have seemingly remained friendly following their divorce filing back in August. Their children became close to one another during their marriage, and even attend the same school. However, it appeared that JLo spent her Thanksgiving sans Affleck.

“Clearly this is a competition. Every day it’s one then the other. Can all 3 just cool it?” one person commented of Ben and the two Jens.
“It’s great that they can be together for the kids, but does it give them false hope? Their reunions always seem romantic. They have a lot of love for each other. I wish they’d work it out,” said another of Affleck and Garner.
Lopez shared a Thanksgiving post to her Instagram feed, revealing that she was thankful for all of her fans. In the photo, she posed next to a cooked turkey. She wore a festive fall sweater and had her long, dark hair pulled back into a sleek ponytail. She added earrings and a full face of glam makeup to complete the look.
Now that the holiday season is in full swing, fans will surely be keeping an eye on Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez to see if they’ll celebrate together with their kids. However, it appears that Affleck’s loyalties lie with Jennifer Garner and their family. It’s likely that he’ll also spend Christmas with his first wife. Although, he and JLo may opt to get their kids together for a pre-Christmas meetup.
It seems to be all about the kids when it comes to Ben Affleck. So, if they want him at home with Jennifer Garner, that is likely where he’ll spend his time.
