Singer Jessica Simpson looks to be getting closer to pulling the trigger on her alleged divorce from her husband, Eric Johnson. Rumors have been circulating for the past few months, indicating that the couple’s marriage was in big trouble. It looks like Jessica is ready to make a move, but first, she hopes to get a few divorce tips from some of her more experienced pals.
Insiders close to the Dukes of Hazzard star tell Life & Style that even though things are not looking good between Johnson and Simpson, Jessica is talking things over with a few of her close friends.
Jessica is no rookie in the divorce department. Should she and Eric move forward with the divorce, this will be Jessica’s second. Most of her fans recall that Simpson was previously married to 98 Degree boyband member Nick Lachey from 2002-2006.
The two married young, and it didn’t take long before they realized they were incompatible and went their separate ways. But only after a pretty public split. Since their split, Nick has rarely spoken publicly about his relationship with Jessica. That is until recently.
In the newly released season of Netflix‘s The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On, Nick, who hosts the show with his second wife, Vanessa Lachey, made a rare comment about his divorce from Simpson while trying to empathize with a cast member, admitting he has “scars” from the split.
Nick admitted that following his divorce from Jessica, he learned many lessons that led him to his wife Vanessa and their happy life together. As for Jessica, she admits she has no regrets about her first marriage. However, things may be a little different this time, so she hopes her gal pal Kim Kardashian can offer her some much-needed guidance.

So far, the Simpson insider claims that Jessica has made no official decision on her marriage and is seriously weighing her options. “Jessica hasn’t made any decisions. Regarding divorce, Kim Kardashian is an expert on the subject. With four failed marriages, she has learned a thing or two about ending a marriage. Let’s also remember that Kim is currently studying to become a lawyer.
While divorce law is not Kim’s cup of tea, while studying criminal and business law, she is likely to have learned a thing or two about various legal specialties. If not, she surely has the experience and contacts that would help Jessica Simpson out if the situation should arise.
The source admits that right now, Jessica has a lot of great female friends by her side to guide her. However, Kim Kardashian and her sister, Ashley Simpson, are her main go-to girls.
