Porsha Williams recently opened up about returning to Bravo for Season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Despite being on the show from Seasons 5 through 13, Porsha told People that it took her a second to get used to the cameras. “But the first day of filming, I kid you not, I felt like a rookie,” she said. “I promise you, I stopped midway, and I was like, ‘Am I supposed to be looking this way?'”
Of course, Porsha is no newbie when it comes to reality television. She had her own spin-off, Porsha’s Family Matters. Plus, she starred in Season 3 of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. However, filming Season 16 of RHOA had her a little twisted. “It took me a minute to recalibrate and make the cameras invisible again.”
Since returning to the show, Porsha has gone through a lot. One of the biggest storylines fans are looking forward to involves her ongoing divorce from Simon Guoabadia. In case you forgot, Williams shocked fans worldwide when she first announced her engagement to him in 2021. A few years later, they walked down the aisle, and 15 months after tying the knot, they filed legal papers to separate. Naturally, Porsha’s fans and co-stars want the tea. But according to her, she’s being selective about what she shares.
Porsha Williams Is Keeping Details About Her Divorce Close to Her Chest
Although she’s on a reality show, Porsha Williams told People she chose to set up “boundaries” with her co-stars. During her conversation, the mother of one revealed she had been going to a professional to better her mental health. According to her, therapy has been a major part of her life over the last few months. “But I really had boundaries about what I would open up to with some of the other girls and what I would not,” she explained. “So just kind of like being and protecting myself, but also being with everyone else has been a good thing for me.”
Despite keeping certain details close to home, fans shouldn’t worry. According to P Willy, her divorce will be in the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Thanks to a sneak peek shared by Bravo at Fan Fest, watchers were able to see a short clip of Porsha speaking to a divorce attorney. “In my relationship with Simon, I felt like that if I had him by my side, we would conquer anything,” she said in an interview. “However, I started just realizing a lot of different things that turned out to be untruth.”
What Else Can Fans Expect During This Season of RHOA?
In addition to Porsha Williams’ marital struggles, fans can also expect to see Kenya Moore’s dramatic exit following the explicit photo scandal.
Although details about the situation have been kept under wraps, it’s been revealed that Kenya was asked to depart the show following a messy scene with a newcomer. According to reports, Kenya allegedly showed inappropriate photos of cast member Britt Eady. Some even said Moore’s behavior could be classified as “revenge p*rn.”
Eventually, Kenya addressed the “false claims” and said the truth would be shown. On the Tamron Hall Show, she took accountability and said the “photos were very distasteful, and I elevated the situation.”
“No one wants to read awful things about themselves, not be able to speak up and not be able to tell your truth. But I’ve learned in my big age that I have survived much worse. It’s fun to be able to take anything negative and put it behind you and focus on only things that are positive.”
