Chanel West Coast has faced backlash for showing off her figure in a sheer dress on Instagram. The TV star and rapper, 36, turned heads in a recent share, flaunting her post-baby body in an embellished minidress while rocking the see-through trend.
Ditching the street style vibes seen in the above November photo, Chanel dolled herself up for a night out, but not all of her fans approved of her look. While many showered the Ridiculousness alum with love, some felt that she was “trying too hard,” with the sentiment expressed by more than one fan. Chanel also wound up sparking a discussion regarding her name — the Fashion Nova partner was born Chelsea Chanel Dudley but uses Chanel as her name in showbusiness.

Strutting around in a skintight black minidress, Chanel drew the eye to her postpartum body, showing the results of her liposuction and the fact that she’s been hitting the gym.
Sashaying along a downtown sidewalk while pouting, the Coasty Swim founder flaunted her toned legs in her lacy look, going long-sleeved while flashing a black bra beneath her dress. Teaming her leggy number with heels as she clutched a glittery silver purse, Chanel added diamond drop earrings for some glam, completing her look with her brunette hair worn down. Chanel also sported a matte makeup layer, lifting her cheekbones with blush as she rocked a dark lip stain.
In a caption, she wrote: “Night out.” A tag, meanwhile, shouted out Fashion Nova for the outfit. Fans have left over 19,000 likes.
Told She’s ‘Trying Too Hard’
Quick to critique the video was a fan writing: “Is your hip broken? Or are you just trying too hard? Sad.”
Appearing to send both praise and shame, another echoed the thought, saying: “Always trying so hard to be accepted. Keep up the hard work.” Chanel has, in recent months, been shamed by her own followers for enjoying nights out as a mom, although those defending the star often note how much she posts about daughter Bowie Breeze, born in November 2022. Chanel definitely seems to be heading for continued success right now.
