Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s recent breakup isn’t news to anyone, as In Touch Weekly reports this isn’t their first rodeo. In fact, the two have “broken up several times,” but this split’s timing — right after the recent pregnancy announcement — is what shocked people. Megan does have “a history of taking him back, even when things don’t get better.” But her close friends and inner circle wish that she’d break free from her “toxic and damaging cycle” with MGK.
Per TMZ, Megan Fox’s closest loved ones have already told her after past breakups that Machine Gun Kelly was no good for her. But now that another split has occurred right after such a crucial moment in their relationship, aka her pregnancy, they want her to move on from him for good. “She deserves better than this,” a source tells the outlet. Her friend group strongly believes MGK is not good for her mental health.
Besides Machine Gun Kelly, Megan Fox has had multiple abusive relationships in the past with “very famous people.” Speaking with Good Morning America about her poetry book, “Pretty Boys Are Poisonous,” the Transformers actress reflected on her “horrific” past:
“…throughout my life I have been in at least one physically abusive relationship and several psychologically very abusive relationships.”
At the time Megan wrote the poetry book, she was with Machine Gun Kelly. It might be safe to say she could have been referring to her relationship with him regarding the abuse she experienced. “Relationships are not pretty. They are ugly. Sometimes they are a war,” she told People.
While many of the Subservience star’s fans are rightfully concerned about her and her mental health, it’s difficult to imagine a happy upbringing for the child she’s currently pregnant with. A broken home is something no child deserves to deal with, and even if just one of the estranged parents is toxic, it can do a number on their mental health.
Unfortunately, despite what Megan Fox’s inner circle encourages her to do, many believe that the Jennifer’s Body lead will be “back in love in a week” with the “Rap Devil” artist. Like angsty high school teenagers, it’s likely that “They’ve broken up so many times. Probably even more than we know,” states a top commenter. “I’d put money on them getting back together tbh,” states the immediate reply, followed by “Odds are certainly in your favor.”
Even though the Internet doesn’t believe the separation will last for long between the two, many seem to agree with Megan’s close friends — the two just aren’t good for each other.
“They remind me of teenagers, particularly early 00s teens who would split up write a song lyric hinting at their split up on their aol/msn name then be back together a week later. Please, stay split.”
“Their ‘twin flame’ energy sounds EXHAUSTING,” groans the follow-up commenter. Another user brings up a good point with, “Ikr, can you imagine trying to be a supportive friend to either of them through this? Every time your phone pings, here we go again.”
Regardless of what anyone predicts will happen between Megan Fox and MGK, only time will tell if the two will actually weather the storm, at least for their baby’s sake.
