I’ll admit, it took a few watches of the below video to understand what was happening. Trust me when I say I love watching a good public scuffle between two people who genuinely think that one is more entitled than the other. However, I wasn’t sure who was wrong during this parking spot scuffle until I watched it a few times and read through all the comments. It’s a good thing that the internet is an archive and that the people of Reddit are so willing to help others figure out who is in the wrong during any given argument!
The video above is taken from the point of view of two people sitting inside of their car after having just parked in a parking lot. Outside of their window is a man who, prior to the beginning of the video, must have been asking them to back out of the parking space. It appears that the people recording were attempting to publicly embarrass the man after he stepped out to confront them for driving the wrong way down a one-way parking lot aisle to steal a parking spot.
I suppose because they’re the ones behind the camera, they feel confident and try to goad that man who had approached them into repeating something threatening right before the camera was turned on.
“i see both parties wrong here. Dick move to swoop in on a spot like that. Absolute smooth brained move to go and argue with them about it.”
I’ll admit that this was what made me turn against the man. However, as the conversation went on, it became very clear that they simply were banking on the man doing something so that they could look good. Unfortunately, they get their wish at the very end when the clearly agitated man finally crosses the line and attacks the woman recording. Many comments say that the man should have just let the two people walk away so that he could slash their tires. That would have taught them a lesson!
