Instead, the singer is said to be holding on to her estranged husband with all she has, as the pair are allegedly planning to stay in each other’s lives despite the decision to end their 2-year marriage. It seems that their long, shared history is a huge factor in keeping them close.
According to Page Six, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have no intention of fully going their separate ways once their divorce is finalized. The duo known as “Bennifer” are said to be in each other’s lives for the long haul. This is especially true when it comes to their children, who grew close to one another as step-siblings during the pair’s marriage.
Affleck shares three children, Violet, Fin, and Samuel, with his first wife, Jennifer Garner. Meanwhile, JLo is the mother of twins Max and Emme, whose father is her former husband Marc Anthony.
“They have every intention of continuing to be in each other’s lives despite not being romantically involved,” the source dished. “Ben and Jennifer are still connected and they do communicate when it involves their kids.”

Ben and JLo first started their love story in 2002. They began dating and quickly got engaged. The pair planned a wedding for 2003, but shortly before the ceremony, they announced that they had called off the nuptials. They later officially split in early 2004. Nearly two decades later, the pair reunited in 2021. The following year, they eloped in Las Vegas. They later held another wedding ceremony in Georgia.
There have been a ton of ups and downs in Affleck and Lopez’s relationship through the years. However, neither star has ever criticized the other in public. Although, rumors continue to fly about the duo. Recently, it was reported that Ben had opted to block all news and alerts about JLo on his phone so that he wouldn’t have to be reminded of his soon-to-be ex-wife, per The Daily Mail.
“Ben doesn’t look at the internet – especially anything about his divorce from JLo,” an insider told the outlet. “He avoids social media and does not click on anything to do with her. In fact, he has a JLo filter on his phone so that the browser doesn’t allow anything that contains her name in it.”
Meanwhile, fans have plenty of thoughts about Lopez’s eyebrow-raising relationship with Affleck. Many believe that Jen may be the only one interested in keeping a close connection.
