Dr. Judy also wanted the “Ain’t Your Mama” singer to explain how the role intersected with their lives.
“I think the most important thing when we first talked was that we’re both moms. That part of it was, I think, the basis of this role, the relationship between you and Anthony, really for me, informed and became the heart and the soul of the film,” Lopez replied.
