However, in contrast to the tough time the actress was having in the media and the harsh criticism she faced from former fans, Baldoni was praised for how he addressed the topic of domestic violence and appeared to be an advocate for women. However, many people’s opinions of the actor have changed since Lively filed a shocking sexual harassment lawsuit against him, and her claims are hard to ignore!

Lively has also claimed that Baldoni was trying to “destroy” her reputation — before the drama surrounding It Ends With Us, she was considered to be one of Hollywood’s darlings. The court filing also claimed that Baldoni, who directed the film, created a “hostile working environment” and detailed how Lively had allegedly requested better practices on set, including asking for an intimacy coordinator and not adding scenes in the script. “No more adding of sex scenes, oral sex or on camera climaxing by BL outside the scope of the script BL approved when signing onto the project,” the complaint alleges.
“Blake, along with her team, have been working on this for months. It’s truly been so ugly for her. And insanely stressful,” an insider recently told People how the lawsuit impacted the star. “She’s never dealt with anything like this before.” Before this lawsuit, Lively has not addressed the chatter about her in the media, and for many, this feels like it is finally her time to share her side of the story.
A source also addressed how the actress has faced harsh criticism, especially from women. “Clearly the smear campaign is still working even after all the details were revealed. The amount of people, and mostly women that are leaving nasty comments about Blake on social-media mentions is truly appalling,” they claimed.
That is not to say the actress has not received an outcry of public support from fans and celebrities alike, including her previous The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants costars and good friends, America Ferrera, Alexis Bledel, and Amber Tamblyn. The actresses made a joint statement about standing with Lively.
