Kali Muscle Pulls a Knife on Guy Who Walks in Front of His Camera in Venice, California

“Chill out, bro”

American bodybuilder and YouTuber Kali Muscle is known more for his brawn than his subtlety. As if to illustrate that, a clip is going viral on Reddit of Kali Muscle pulling a knife on a guy who walks in front of his camera. Fortunately, nobody seems to come to harm, but the bizarre incident has understandably garnered a lot of attention.

The video takes place in Venice, California. At the start of the clip, Kali Muscle states that he and his team came to give a promotion and advertisement, presumably to the gym. He’s interrupted, however, when a guy walks in between him and the camera.

Kali Muscle doesn’t take this well, to put it mildly. He calls the guy up on his manners, to which the man apologizes with a “my bad.” You’d probably expect it to end there. Mistake made, apology accepted. Not in this case. Instead, Kali Muscle questions, “You good?”, to which the guy, slightly bemused, replies that he’s good.

The guy gives the bodybuilder a gentle, friendly tap on the arm. For some reason, Kali Muscle thinks that warrants pulling a knife on the guy. The guy doesn’t seem perturbed, however, instead grinning and questioning with disbelief: “What’s that, man?”

Reddit was quick to blame steroid use on Kali Muscle’s bizarre intervention. “It’s the roids,” one commenter said. “It messes with your brains, makes you angrier, more paranoid, and way too impulsive.” Others were less kind, however, branding the bodybuilder an “a******” and an “idiot”.

The guy who riled Kali Muscle up manages to diffuse the situation by saying he knows a mutual acquaintance, which seems to appease the bodybuilder. The guy can’t help but continue to wind up Kali Muscle, though, repeatedly telling him to “chill out”. This only angers Kali Muscle all over again, though, resulting in another confrontation. The guy drops the smile and understandably states he’s unimpressed by the bodybuilder pulling a knife on him. Fortunately, one of Kali Muscle’s team intervenes before things get nasty.

The bizarre incident highlights how quick some people are to resort to weapons over even minor incidents. Several Redditors questioned the need for such an action. “All these muscles and still need a knife,” one bemused commenter wrote. Others suggested that Kali Muscle must have a fragile ego to resort to armed threats so quickly. Whatever the reason, we’re just glad nobody got hurt in the altercation.
