Just like in our modern day and age, money moves everything in the medieval world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Even if you amassed a fortune in the first game, forget about it. Henry will start from scratch and will have to go from rags to riches again. After testing many legal (and illegal) ways to make money in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, I have put together a guide to show you the best ways so you can pick how honorably or dishonorably Henry will make a fortune in these new regions.

The Legal Way

The legal way to make money in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will involve a lot of crafting, mainly weapons, but potions can work, too. For those, you’ll need a few perks:

  • Silver Tongue (This gives you a +4 Speech bonus when haggling).
  • Artisan (All weapons you make sell at a 10% better price).
  • Polished Wares (You’ll get 10% more money for weapons that are at 98% or 100% condition).
  • Adept of the Mystic Arts (Potions, herbs, recipes, and books sell for 10% more).
  • Martin’s Secret (Lets you craft tier 4 weapons).

The gist here is crafting as many weapons and potions as you can, with the latter being more effective. Tier 3 weapons are great, but you can also sell Tier 4. However, we recommend keeping Tier 4 weapons, as they are much better in combat. Once you have enough weapons to sell, ensure they are in mint condition and only sell in the stores inside of Kuttenberg (the city). Most traders here have a lot of silver, so you can sell two or three weapons and get around 2,000 Groschen. You can do this every couple of days once the traders get more money.

The Illegal Way(s)

If you prefer a stealthier approach and don’t mind getting your hands dirty, trust me, stealing is the fastest way to make money in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. However, you have to be smart about it and grab the following perks first:

  • From the perks I listed in the Legal Way, grab Silver Tongue, Polished Wares, and Adept of the Mystic Arts.
  • Hustler (This one makes selling stolen items easier).
  • Partner in Crime (This one will replace the above one because it lets you sell stolen items without getting detected).
  • Totally Legit (Before obtaining Partner in Crime, this one will make stolen items lose their “stolen” status 20% faster).
  • Sticky Fingers (Grants you a few groschen after a successful pickpocketing attempt).
  • Silent Fiddler (Reduces the noise you make when lockpicking by 75%).
  • Thief’s Eyes (Tells you where the item you stole was stolen from. Useful when selling goods in another place).
  • Trafficker (This makes stolen items lose their “stolen” status even faster).

With these perks, there are two ways you can go about making money. One is perfect for Trosky, and the other one for Kuttenberg.

In Trosky, stealing horses is a great business. You can grab steeds from outside of Troskovitz and head to the Nomad Camp to sell them. Zhelejov is another place with a lot of horses that are usually unguarded at night.

If you’re in Kuttenberg, however, stealing is much better. You can sweep at least two stores every night. First, grab the groschen and other expensive items. Keep the money, and wait until the stolen status of an item disappears. Time varies depending on the item, but the most it takes is three in-game days. After that, you can sell goods to other merchants. It is important that you never wear any of the stolen items because people might recognize you. You can keep them inside Henry’s chest and grab them once you want to sell them.

While all of these ways are great for making money in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, the illegal route is the fastest and most fun. However, if you want Henry to be an upstanding citizen, craft weapons like Martin would’ve wanted and show everyone how great your blacksmithing skills are.
