Just like any mother-child bond

The loss of a loved one is a very difficult event, and people have different ways of coping with grief. It is also said that the loss of a child is one of the most painful things, but any loss is just as significant. What is essential when coping with grief is to have a good support system, and sometimes that help comes from unexpected places. Something like this video on Reddit where this Florida influencer shares how her late son’s best friend visits her constantly. This guy always has time for the mother he adopted.

You know he promised his best friend to keep an eye on his mum.

Redditor mindyour shared on r/TikTokCringe a video of by.erikahernandez’s TikTok. On her social media, Erika mainly showed her lifestyle and outfits. However, this took an unexpected turn a year and a half ago when her son passed away. Since then, Erika transformed her content to show her stages of grief and how she works to overcome her pain. In the video we talked about, this same Florida influencer shares that even though it’s been a while, her late son’s best friend visits her every week without fail to see the movie The Equalizer. Also, the friend always brings dinner to Erika’s house, and now he is accompanied by his girlfriend, just like any other family.

Aww that’s super sweet. It’s good for BOTH of you, I’m sure.

Throughout the pain, her son’s friend and Erika offered each other companionship and understanding. They also created a strong bond like the one between mother and son.

Aww, that’s really sweet. That’s family right there.

It looks like Erika’s made a pact with his friend that in case of his death, his friend would always be there for Erika. This is even more beautiful and has melted the hearts of many users in the post and caused many tears. On the bright side, even though they both lost a child and a friend, respectively, they found a new mother and other sons to lean on.
