It is not a rare occurrence to see folks brawling in public. However, who would ever think a person with disabilities would get into a scuffle? That happened in a recent clip that has torn the internet apart.
A 26-second clip capturing the showdown was shared on Reddit. The video opened up to reveal a large crowd in what looked like an outdoor event. Amidst the crowd, a heated fight was happening between an armless woman and a fully abled woman. The amputee was dressed in a blue playsuit, and the other party wore a black dress.
The lady in the black dress furiously threw punches at the disabled lady, even grabbing her hair. Defending against the attack, the armless woman flung her shoulders at her opponent and slammed her against the barricades. Two other ladies soon joined in the fight, and both attacked the amputee, mercilessly punching her face.
As the brawl became heated and uneven—three against one—other audience members tried to intervene. One man can be seen blocking one of the attackers from hitting the less abled woman.
Unsurprisingly, the footage of the incident went viral, arousing mixed reactions from Redditors. While some people said the less privileged woman instigated the fight, others condemned the able-bodied ladies for fighting with her.
“You need to be a real a**hole to beat up a disabled person,” wrote one Redditor, to which another replied. “And vice versa. She must’ve really been an a**hole to make 3 people jump you lol.”
This user supported the opinion that the disabled woman was at fault. The user wrote, “I’m willing to bet; she heavily relied on this belief, even doubling down that she was a woman too and thought it gave her permission to run her mouth.”
More comments about the less privileged woman starting the fight rolled in. “No arms and they STILL gotta jump you? She must be a problem,” another comment read.
On the opposite side, some Redditors lashed at the able-bodied women for attacking the less-privileged.
“I mean, but still, why throw hands at the handless?” one netizen criticized.
A second person penned, “For real though, words do not validate physical aggression, and if the physical aggression is from an armless, handless person.”
Another comment read, “Everyone in this video are b**ches. How you gotta jump someone that doesn’t have arms? Just say you can’t fight and go on about your business.”
