Florida Alligator Seen Crawling Toward a Jerky Sign, β€˜He Is Heading Over To Have a Word With the Guy Who Put That Sign Up’

Sign vs Reptile

Seeing an alligator walking freely around Florida isn’t something new. Most of us would say it is a staple of the city and something many have learned to live with. However, that doesn’t mean something like this can’t surprise people any longer. A Redditor shared a picture recently showing an alligator walking toward a jerky sign with an alligator drawing. Naturally, other readers found this hilarious and began to speculate about the matter. Was the alligator going to take the sign down, or was it going there to meet an early demise?

As you can see in the above image, shared by user Terminallyelle on the r/florida subreddit, an alligator is crawling through a Florida highway toward an alligator jerky sign. This is hilarious in many ways. For starters, people wonder if the alligator knew what the sign said and was on its way to take it down. Others believe the reptile was on its way to become jerky, too. Yet, that one is the least accepted theory. In any case, the unexpected combination of events was funny for many, and here are some of the opinions they shared:

“I think he can read and he is heading over to have a word with the guy who put that sign up.” – PlannedObsolescence via Reddit.

“With how much I’ve seen alligators try to get a bite their own kind, he might just be trying some.” – KizuameX via Reddit.

Furthermore, some people claimed it was wild to see an alligator on that road. While these reptiles appear in the strangest places, it was strange to see them around there.

“I think I know this road…that’s crazy! I’ve never seen a gator out of the water here.” – Green-Eyed-BabyGirl via Reddit.

In addition to the above statement, the OP replied and mentioned how the alligator was able to cross the road, meaning it was out of the water for quite a long time.

In any case, it seems the alligator was only looking for jerky or just posing there for a fun picture. There weren’t any harmful situations involving this animal, so it was only a series of unexpected events that many will remember with a laugh.
