Tensions flared at a Wisconsin university as students clashed with an older man who was crossing out ‘Free Palestine‘ messages on campus grounds. A video posted on Reddit captured the moment a boomer got into an argument with a group of students on campus. The man, wearing a red shirt and black shorts, was seen yelling aggressively while pointing at “Free Palestine” signs written in chalk on the campus grounds.
The enraged man yelled that he had family in Palestine, so he had every reason to be outraged at the signs. He also added that someone he knew who graduated from that university had a kid who “died as a hostage” in Palestine. “I have family there. You don’t know sh*t over there. You get what you read from f*cking newspapers you moron.”
An individual in the group of students told the man he was weird and was acting like he wasn’t educated, and he replied, “I’m not educated? Okay. I have more education than you’ll ever get.”
The students mocked his reply, asking him to “get a life” because “we’re 20-year-olds, you’re 50.” Some got frustrated with the interaction and left, saying that it was a “waste of time.”
Still exchanging words with the students, the man used chalk to cross out the “Free Palestine” signs and write “hostages,” showing his support for Israel. While defacing the tags, he kept asking the students if they had ever been to Israel or Palestine. One student replied, saying she knows “what’s wrong is wrong,” and he was “too old to be doing this.” She further called him “stupid as f*ck” and pointed out that if he had time to be crossing out signs on a university campus, then he “obviously has nothing better to do” with his life.
Not giving in to the students’ protests, the man argued that he had other things to do because he had a job and made more money than they would ever make. He proceeded to cross out more signs while the students’ arguments fell on deaf ears.
One social media user reacted to the video with the comment, “Classic Zionist behaving aggressively and then playing the victim. The exact same every time.”
Another pointed out that the man was only “looking for a fight. Madison is the most liberal city in WI by far.” Yet another remarked, “Oh well, this guy had a family member die, so I guess it’s cool that others die too. F*cking scumbag.”
One user called the man out, asking him to “act his age.” He didn’t think of that before stooping so low.
