For a long time, there has been a divide between liberals and conservatives. Both sides have moderate people, but they also have extremists. On the conservative side, some people can be extreme to the point where they are being racist. To them, there is nothing wrong with this. To others, they are seen as the worst part of society. One example of an extremist is a Pennsylvania resident who was seen flying Confederate flags with no shame whatsoever. This act was enough to leave citizens not just disappointed but also outraged.
In a picture shared by one citizen, you can see the Pennsylvania resident standing on a pedestrian overpass with two Confederate flags. He was seen flying them around while people were passing by. The picture is a little bit blurry, but you can clearly see the two flags. It also seems that the guy was hiding his face with a mask. I wonder why. There should be no space for this blunt and disgusting racism. Yet, here we are.
People Reacting to the Pennsylvania Resident
Just like you would expect, people were left outraged by what they just saw. The audacity in itself is shocking. One person wrote, “Treasonous scum. Rip them down.” Since there is a pretty big chance that the man is conservative, someone else replied by saying, “Be careful. They might be armed.” Another Pennsylvania resident was annoyed that this took place in their city. To them, there is no place for racism there. “PA was the state those traitorous losers got their asses handed to them so badly they never were able to go back on the offensive. Racist scum can f**k off from this city of Brotherly Love,” they wrote. When one asked why someone would even think of flying a confederate flag there, someone pointed at racism as they replied by saying, “It’s a six letter word that begins with R.”
The insults toward the guy kept going as more people expressed how exactly they felt about him. “ Very strange individual who appears to need attention. F**k him,” one person wrote. Another said, “F these racists. They can go to hell.” In addition to this, there was one Redditor who was so upset by the entire situation that they were ready to go and take down the flags themselves. “They still up there? Im about to go rip that shit down,” they wrote. Another replied in support as they said, “Thank you for taking out the trash!!!” That one Redditor seemed serious, too, as they continued, “I wish I couldve. If I saw this sooner I woulda been out there im only 20 minutes away. He need his a** beat.” Now that is something that would have been interesting to watch.
