Ironic Racial Profiling On Full Display as Arizona Border Patrol Questions a Native American in Stunning Video ‘We didn’t cross the border, the border crossed us’

Isn’t it ironic…

Between Trump’s immigration policies, the wall, ICE, and less-than-questionable tactics deployed by these agencies, each day brings us another astonishing video. This was never more apparent than a stunning viral clip that shows what is said to be the Arizona Border Patrol pulling over and questioning a Native American family of all things. The irony is absolutely wild.

Border Patrol Questions Native American Women’s Citizenship—The Irony Is Stunning
byu/JeanJauresJr inPublicFreakout

Cynical, ironic, shocking, any one of these terms perfectly describes the wild clip shown above. In a post on the PublicFreakout Reddit page by user JeanJauresJR, a woman with family can be seen talking to officers on the side of the road. They had no reason to pull her over, and they immediately asked if they were U.S citizens. The passengers are shocked, and this is what they said in their response.

We’re the first ones, we are Native Americans.

The Border Patrol officer says “perfect” and tells her she doesn’t need to show her ID, clearly embarrassed and realizing the video is recording him, as he likely doesn’t want to be embarrassed any further. The passenger recording then leans out the window, showing three patrol cars had pulled in behind them, preparing for some incident that doesn’t come to pass. Many folks online had a ton to say about the ironic moment.

“I grew up reservation adjacent and my parents were active with AIM. There are a lot of good Native American one liners. They are intended for these exact situations when they need something handy to say when angry and repressed with force.”

“If the United States saw what the United States is doing in the United States, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.”

“I have also never EVER seen cops drop a situation so fast EVER!!!! The second she said she was Native American they GFTO and we literally never see cops on these videos just drop the situation and let them leave like that.”

Thankfully, the cop left them alone, and ultimately, nothing came of the viral incident. Hopefully, being brown in this country won’t automatically make you guilty before being proven innocent, but I don’t have my hopes up.
