Xbox Game Pass keeps surprising us, and now it brings one of the most unique soccer experiences that involves 5v5 matches. For the unaware, Rematch landed on Xbox Game Pass. This isn’t your usual soccer game, and you certainly don’t have to open player packs or whatever FIFA games used to do in the past. On top of that, it is perfect for those who want some fast-paced soccer action with a unique touch on one of the world’s most famous sports. So, if you want to try it, all you must do is fire up Game Pass and download it. Trust us, it’s worth it.
Rematch Is a Day-One Title on Xbox Game Pass
Rematch is a day-one addition to Xbox Game Pass, meaning that everyone can experience it without buying the full game, assuming you’re on the fence about it. As we mentioned before, it is a different take on the usual soccer games like EA Sports FC. Instead of having a whole team of players, this one pits everyone into 5v5 matches. It is a team-based game that focuses on the sport’s more arcade feel. Another good thing about Rematch is how it wants to keep players busy during a match without “dead” moments, like pauses or fouls.
If the above wasn’t enough, Rematch goes for a skill-based approach. You don’t need to sweat about necessary upgrades or meeting a meta with items, perks, etc. It’s all about how good you are on the field. At the moment, Rematch has a 74% score on Metacritic, which is great for a sports game, and a new one at that. Also, it comes from the developers of the legendary martial arts Sifu game, so you know the quality is up there. Then again, if you don’t want to purchase the game, all you need is your Game Pass membership.
Even More Titles Are Coming in June
If Rematch isn’t your cup of tea, Xbox Game Pass also announced many more titles coming in the future. Some of them include the RTS Warcraft trilogy, Against the Storm, Call of Duty WWII, Little Nightmares, Volcano Princess, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Star Trucker, and Wildfrost. Of the previously mentioned ones, Star Trucker and Wildfrost are already available.
Furthermore, Rematch isn’t the only co-op game that arrived on the platform this week. We also have FBC: Firebreak, which is a new online co-op experience created by the minds behind Control. If you’re still uncertain about whether to try it or not, you can check our review here.
While May was a fantastic month for game releases on Xbox Game Pass, June is already looking better, and the month isn’t over yet. So, if you’re still looking for a new game to play, check out any of the new additions, and remember, there are even more games coming down the road. So, if you want to try them all, you’d better get started now.
