Just when you think that ICE raids can’t get any worse, they find a way to surprise you. The unjustified force they use is horrendous and would leave anyone furious. A new low for them was sending 20 ICE agents armed with rifles to arrest a 60-year-old street vendor who was selling Tamales in California. In a video shared, you get to see how the crowd is upset by the violence displayed. According to a woman who witnessed the situation, the agents were manhandling the elderly woman and even exposed her breast during this. When you look at her limp body, you can see that her shirt is raised while she lies unresponsive. What’s more annoying is that they try to lift her body while she is still unconscious. Who would treat humans this way?
An entire crowd of California residents is surrounding and shouting at the 20 agents. Several people also made sure to film the license plates of the agents’ cars. As the crowd yells “Get out,” ICE agents don’t move an inch. Since all agents were armed, one woman yells, “We don’t need your f**king guns here.” Even when firefighters arrive to help the 60-year-old woman, the crowd refuses to settle down.
Their anger only increased when they saw some agents forcibly dragging a driver out of his truck. He showed some resistance, and they used more force while people yelled at them to let him go. The innocent man later said he was arrested because he was filming what was happening. You feel like ICE didn’t want to leave empty-handed, so they decided to arrest someone. After all, almost everyone there was filming. The rest of the video shows the crowd’s outrage as they keep calling the agents names such as “Terrorists.”
People Reacting to the California Chaos
The California crowd wasn’t the only one who was left upset by what happened. A lot of people were disturbed by how the elderly woman was treated. One person said, “Domestic terrorism.” Someone else called ICE agents cowards since they only go after weak or old people. Another wrote, “Funny how I don’t see any videos of these assholes rounding up serious tough guys. The kind of guys who look like they’re in a rough gang and might actually kill somebody. I don’t see any of those videos I wonder why. Are those guys too scary to go after? Would those guys maybe shoot back? Yeah it’s easy to go after a mom or a 70 year old army vet and act tough.”
A new insult was calling the ICE agents “f**king clowns.” One person didn’t find this insult appropriate as they said, “Don’t downplay this. They’re criminal assailants and kidnappers.” Recently, a lot of people started claiming that ICE raids will end up terribly one day. One person agreed with this as they sarcastically wrote, “Let’s give the dumbest people in the country permission to brandish guns and attack Anybody they like. There is no possible way this could end badly.”
The clown insult was repeated as someone else said, “Clowns cosplay as soldiers. Weak disgusting people. Do they have to split the bounty? Does the one that throws her to the ground get more? F**king disgusting. And, I bet they took and ate all the food she was selling.” I honestly hope that the innocent street vendor would be okay. It would be terrible if they arrested her after she receives medical help, but I won’t be surprised if this happened.
