If you ever encounter disrespectful children, you would hope that their parents would intervene and apologize for their behavior. This, however, didn’t happen in a California neighborhood where a group of kids on e-bikes have been wrecking property and coming close to slamming into mothers and their infants. Several complaints were made, prompting the HOA to request that people film the kids as evidence. Well, this didn’t go too well. An elderly man in the neighborhood filmed the kids while he was walking his dog. They ended up being disrespectful to him and even called their parents, which raised the drama levels considerably.
The father started having a meltdown and immediately started yelling at the elderly man and pushing him. His wife can only be described as a Karen since she stole the man’s phone from him. When he tried to take it back, the father pushed him and said, “Get your hands off my f**king wife.” He keeps cursing at the old man, pushing him, and getting in his face. The father then yelled, “Don’t ever f**king talk to my kids,” along with “Don’t ever f**king approach my kids. Don’t video my kids. I will beat the shit out of you.” To make matters worse, he goes as far as threatening to kill the innocent man as he said, “I will f**king murder you.”
Instead of trying to de-escalate the situation, the wife just added fuel to the fire. She started filming the interaction and trying to paint the elderly man as a pedophile. Her husband does the same as he shouts, “You are a f**king weirdo” and “You are a lonely, sad, pathetic old man who likes to mess with kids.” They still refuse to give him his phone, despite his repeated requests. In addition to the false claims, the wife said that the man’s dog was going to bite her kids. Well, if you looked at the dog, he looked like he wanted to be anywhere else; I get him. In the father’s eyes, the kids were playing with their bikes. He doesn’t care if they are causing havoc. Additionally, his behavior isn’t exactly a great example for his kids.

Fortunately, many people came after the parents and saw that they were on the wrong side here. One person blamed the parents as they wrote, “Shocker, Santa Clarita is full of these garbage parents. Trash parents make trash kids.” Someone else was taken aback by the fact that parents no longer want to blame their kids for their behavior. “Remember when your neighbors narced on you to your parents and your parents end up punishing you at home because they were more embarrassed than you,” they said. The comments against the California dad kept coming in as a third person wrote, “Shitty kids with colossally shitty parents.” The aggressiveness of the father also led someone to claim that he might kill people in the future. “That father is gonna kill someone some day. Hope he doesn’t carry a gun,” they added.
On the other hand, some people attempted to justify the parents’ reaction for unknown reasons. One claimed that the elderly man touched the kids based on the father’s yelling. OP, though, made it clear that this was a false claim. They were just trying to make their neighbor look like a pedophile. One Redditor made sure to count the offenses committed by the California couple. “First push, that’s Assault. Not letting him leave, well that’s False imprisonment. Telling him you will murder him, hmmm, making terroristic threats? Just the easy ones, in California anyway,” they commented. It’s a good thing that someone filmed this entire interaction so that it can be given to the police. What happened to simply raising your kids and teaching them to do better?
