Oklahoma Mom Attempts to Defend Her Choice to Kick Out 9-Year-Old, ‘Why Do I Feel Like the Daughter is Not the Problem?’

Thank God she isn’t my mom

Any good parent would do anything for their child. And in these changing times, I remind my kids again and again that they’ll always have a safe place to live. Unfortunately, not every parent shares this perspective. One Oklahoma mother repeatedly shares the story of how she kicked out her 9-year-old due to mental illness. Taking a look at her TikTok, she has made it her entire online persona, too. Now, commenters are taking a shot at her and trying to get to the bottom of things.

Meg (@meggles2446) shared her story repeatedly on TikTok over the years, talking about how she kicked her 9-year-old daughter. It’s been three years, and her daughter is now 12. She claims kicking her daughter out hasn’t had any impact and states, “In those three years, we haven’t made any progress.” She also explains her daughter has been in therapy since she was three and on medication since she was five (for what mental health-related issues, we have no clue). Meg explains that the school her daughter went to supposedly pressed assault charges on her several times. This ultimately led to the Oklahoma Juvenile Authority getting involved, but nothing could be done due to her daughter’s age.

How Meg has explained the story previously probably hasn’t helped keep savage comments at bay. She repeatedly says she “kicked out” her underage daughter, which paints a picture in my mind of abandonment. However, Meg says she didn’t “kick her out to the streets” but instead she lives with her paternal grandparents and her biological “father-ish,” whatever that implies. That way, she can’t hurt any of her siblings, according to Meg.

Since posting about her situation months ago, Meg has created a GoFundMe and created hundreds of videos detailing her situation. Meg claims her daughter was diagnosed with a slew of mental health conditions and has been on “literally over 100” different medications but nothing has worked thus far to keep her daughter in the house due to her violent outbursts.

Many commenters reflected exactly what I was thinking, which is, “There is more to this story.” Under what circumstances is there no help available for a literal child? Something tells me not every option was utilized in this case. One person commented, “Children are never the problem – period” while echoed a similar sentiment, “Why do I feel like the daughter is not the problem? Am I alone?” Others speculated the 9-year-old did things that endangered the household and claim she might be a “psychopath.”

Meg is the only one who truly knows what’s going on. However, she decided to blast her situation all over TikTok without a thought of the judgment others would pass. There’s nothing more disheartening than a kid being rejected and a mother making money off her child’s suffering.
