The announcement and trailer of Bandai Namco’sย Dragon Ball FighterZ caught the attention of a lot of different people. The character reveals and look of the game were more than enough to catch the attention of fans of the anime, and the fighting game chops of developer Arc System Works (who are responsible for both theย Guilty Gear andย BlazBlueย games) piqued the interest of the competitive fighting game scene.
The game releases at the end of the month, but an open beta is planned for both PlayStation 4 and
EARLY ACCESS for FighterZ who pre-ordered digitally on X1 or PS4. Starts Jan. 13 from midnight to 11:59pm PST!

For those of you not on theย DBZย up and up, the eleven fighters (twenty are planned for the roster on full release) available for the beta are:
- Goku
- Vegeta
- Adult Gohan
- Frieza
- Kid Buu
- Cell
- Piccolo
- Krillin
- Nappa
- Android 18
- Beerus
In addition to the characters, the tweet also reveals some of the stages and modes that will be available for the beta. There will be seven playable stages and a few different modes to play, although it seems likely that most players (and the developers) will want to test the online connection in versus battles.
