Sometimes, enough is enough, and people can’t and shouldn’t put up with being harassed over and over again. A mother in Texas is dealing with a truck driver who follows her around, yelling out slurs at her and her children. “It’s not the first time,” she notes, explaining how the troublemaker quickly drives off every time she gets out her phone’s camera to catch them in the act. Whatever the case, she’s had enough of not feeling safe with this menace and plans to file a police report on the matter. However, she first asks Reddit for help.

Is there anyway someone can unblur the image of the license plate? This truck followed me around the neighborhood and yelled slurs at my kids & I need to be able to present the license plate for the police report.

“Is there any way someone can unblur the image of the license plate?” the mother asks r/PhotoshopRequest. She managed to snap a photo of the truck driver riding off in the distance in her neighborhood, albeit the shot was likely taken quite a distance away. As a result, the photo came out all blurry, which is why she took to Reddit to see if anyone could decipher what the license plate read or use programs to help clear up the blurriness.

Unfortunately, a flurry of commenters got sidetracked, first by making jokes on the “Enhance” meme that often occurs in some movies. Another wave of Reddit users focused solely on the assumption that the mother’s phone was using ‘generative AI’ to enhance her photo, thereby ruining the possibility that she could have the license plate number deduced. Fortunately, out of all the chaos in the comment section of her post, one person managed to decipher what the number was.

“[I] Cant see to find it cuz it isn’t the same plate as the car, but it looks to be J148921 or JIA8921,” says a Reddit user, to which a reply said the second guess would be the correct format for Texas. A few others chimed in, saying that they believed it to be a Louisiana license plate, while others said the U-Haul trailer shouldn’t be what is being deciphered here. Whatever the case, the woman happily replied to the helpful Reddit user with “!solved,” meaning that it was the number she was looking for. Hopefully, she’ll be able to successfully get the authorities involved to stop the annoying truck driver from harassing her and her kids.
