Entitled New York Woman Criticizes Her Own City for Being Rude ‘Right, She Is the One Being Impolite Here’

Why didn’t you go to a park instead?

New York people impolite

I agree that nowadays people are not as kind and polite as they used to be. Of course, one can’t be safe with so much insecurity, or some people might not talk with strangers because of their mental health. But that is no excuse for this woman who criticized the people of New York for being impolite, when clearly she is the one at fault. There is a place and time for everything, but the entitlement is strong in this woman.

Redditor Merchant_Alert shared on r/ImTheMainCharacter a video that gave me too much cringe. In the video, a woman dances in the middle of a room with tables and other people, which may appear to be a restaurant. During the video, the girl is dancing in the middle of the aisle when a man from behind gets up and walks next to her. The man hardly sees the dancer, but she sees the man pass by out of the corner of her eye and ends her dance with discomfort. Here, the annoying thing is that the dancing girl in the video put in the text: “I’m from NY, where people rather try and move past you instead of saying excuse me.”

The woman acts like a victim by being so sad or offended that the people of New York are impolite. It is ridiculous for her to be upset, as the OP aptly described in the title, saying, “Right, he is the one being impolite here.” The man just wanted to pass through the only way through, which the girl was using to dance as if it were her stage. If that’s a restaurant, people want to eat and enjoy the moment. If someone would like to see someone dance, they would go to other places. This highlights the woman’s sense of entitlement. She must understand that not everyone wants to know about her, her dances, or her life.

Many people also agreed with OP and showed that the woman in the video also has an annoying attitude. For example, the user TID3PODEATZ wrote in the comments, “I’m from Michigan, where people don’t dance in the middle of a restaurant like an idiot”. Or the redditor Dingo8MyBabyMon, who added “That’s a funny way to spell I’m from NY where people rather be fucking obnoxious and block pathways and get upset when others need to use them than be aware of others.“
