The beloved WKRP in Cincinnati actress Loni Anderson, who died Sunday at 79, once believed she had it all when she met and married Hollywood icon Burt Reynolds. The glamorous couple married in 1988 and even adopted a son, Quinton, hoping to build the perfect family life. However, her dream quickly collapsed, leaving her with years of heartbreak and devastation.
Despite being Burt Reynolds’ lasting marriage, his relastionship with Loni Anderson was far from a happy one. Just days before marrying who Loni initially believed to be the love of her life, things took a drastic turn.
Known for his reputation as a Hollywood sex symbol and ladies’ man, Burt began carrying on a secret relationship with cocktail waitress Pam Seals. The steamy encounter turned into a full-blown affair lasting two years. Most of this took place during his marriage to Loni.
Reynolds was clearly unhappy in his marriage. The Smokey and the Bandit star reportedly confided in Seals about his rocky marriage, telling her he suspected Anderson of cheating.
