President Trump has seen his fair share of wild headlines since he took office back in January. Even though it’s only been a few months, it feels like a few years, given his sweeping government changes, tariffs, ICE enforcement, and numerous other outrageous changes. Epstein list not withstanding, he recently suggested that the FBI may have to arrest Texas Democrats who’ve left the state to avoid Republicans from enacting a plan to redistrict and gain more local power.
In a post shared to the Texas Reddit page by user Jevus_Himself, a video taken from CNN featuring Donald Trump in a rapid-fire interview covering a broad range of topics. An interviewer asks Trump the following question.
Texas Senator John Cornyn is asking for your help to force Democrats back to the state and hold them accountable, do you want the fedeal government and the FBI to help locate and arrest these Texas Democrats who have left the state?
When asked that question, Donald Trump accused them of abandoning the state, which, to be fair, is true. Most Democrats fled to avoid a massive Texas redistricting, which would give Republicans more power in a rather unprecedented and bold power play. When she doubled down and asked him if the FBI should get involved, he said, “Well, they may have to“.
This has set liberals on the internet into a frenzy, while most conservative folks feel the politicians should return to their home state instead of abandoning their constituents. Here is a sample of what’s being said and reaction to this interview.
“Typical word salad. Nobody has seen anything like it. This has happened twice before.”
“Didn’t the republicans just flee Capitol Hill to prevent having to vote on releasing the Epstein files?”

As you can see, many folks pointed out his hypocrisy with the Democrats using the very same tactic Republicans recently used to avoid releasing the Epstein files to the public.
