We’re just a few weeks away from stepping inside our Arsenal, and to make the wait longer, or shorter, depending on how eager you are to experience this dark sci-fi title, Marvelous Inc. has unveiled not one, but two videos showcasing the factions of Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion. While we already got a glimpse of some characters in previous trailers, it is nice that all these faces finally have names and allegiances. Some might be more excited about the armored suits, but the truth is that these characters look just as great and memorable, and we can’t wait to meet them as we explore this perilous world.
Meet the Reclaimers
The first faction to be showcased in Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, and the one we’ll likely spend most of our time with, is the Reclaimers. Described as an underground resistance organization, they try to fight back against the Sovereign Axiom, using hidden passages to work in secret against the enemy forces.
By the looks of it, it seems our protagonist will be working closely with them as they guide us through the world in our armored suits. In terms of design, they all look terrific, with Toby already being a favorite. How will the story shape up around them? That’s still a mystery, but we’re excited to see how everything unfolds.
The Demons of Haven Have Landed
The second faction in Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion is The Neun. Right off the bat, they look like the opposite of what the Reclaimers are. The Neun is the 9th Division of the Sovereign Axiomโs Special Services. This particular unit is known for its deadly combat prowess and merciless actions. They are so feared across the planet that many call them the “Demons of Haven,” and that name goes hard when describing a game’s villains.
While the Reclaimers look fantastic, the design of The Neun is just as terrific. It is hard to pick between one, but Legion and Void look great. Judging by the recent trailers and some official story details, we’ll likely fight against this deadly crew. However, it’d also be interesting if we could work alongside them and even join them for some missions.
In any case, the next Daemon X Machina entry is shaping up to be one of the best dark sci-fi and mecha experiences of the year. While we’re excited about the many systems coming to the game, including combat and customization, we’re also eager to don these armored suits, designed by the legendary Shoji Kawamori. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait too long, as the release date is just a few weeks away.
