Lately, there has been a significant rise in individuals who have found the confidence within themselves to express racism towards others. Honestly, it feels as though there is always some kind of viral video that has to do with someone being racist. The hatred spread to a Washington RV park, where a man thought it best to call a woman a racial slur. If that wasn’t bad enough, he also verbally attacked her sexuality and, honestly, just seems like an overall bad neighbor.
The above video, originally posted by @tacodogtaco, depicts an elderly woman walking along a neighborhood sidewalk in Washington while being asked what she was going to do about her husband using racial slurs. Not surprisingly, the woman immediately tried to justify it by saying that the woman recording was trespassing. Then, the video switches to CCTV footage of a man verbally attacking a woman on the porch of the trailer next to his.
The specifics of their argument are unclear, but the man expressed his opinions about her sexuality, skin color, and gender. The video identifies the male assailant as Bruce Schnadel, while the elderly woman at the beginning is named Deborah Schnadel, although no additional information is provided. Furthermore, another man named Michael Lightfoot may have been involved, but this remains uncertain; his name simply appears in the video.
Commenters were quick to flock to the video, criticizing the man’s behavior. While this woman is doing her best to take professional action, others might not have been so kind. On a Breeze Airways flight #MX704 from Virginia to Los Angeles, a gentleman had to physically pick up and sit down a man in his seat due to his racist comments. Ideally, no one would accost others simply because of the color of their skin or who they choose to love, but maybe that concept is still too far into the future.
